Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "EVAN R. JONES/ PITTSTON PA," circa 1875, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a large, leafy stem bearing a hanging blossom composed of graduated spots. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with a minor chip to interior of rim and minor staining. H 12 1/4".
