Two Pieces of Glazed Redware, Galena, IL origin, second half 19th century, a cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flared rim, featuring dipped yellowish slip decoration under a clear lead glaze; paired with a small jug with lead glaze over mottled olive ground with orange spotting. Jar with a small chip to exterior of rim, wear to top of rim, wear to inner rim for lid, a small glazed flake to body, a few other small surface flaws to body, and some residue from use to exterior. Jug in very nice condition with some light glaze loss to base. H (of jug) 7 3/4".
