Fine Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, attributed to Thomas Chandler, Edgefield District, SC, circa late 1830s, delicately-potted, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, ribbed strap handle, and alkaline-glazed surface featuring glossy olive mottling over a gray-green ground. Provenance: From a fifty-year SC collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 13 3/4".
