Rare Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware "Top Hat" Canning Jar with Centennial Date, Stenciled "A.P. Donaghho, / Parkersburg, W. Va. / 1876," 1876, short, tapering jar with tooled shoulder and flattened "wax sealer" rim, featuring A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling on one side and the rare vertically-stenciled date, "1876," on the reverse. Desirable form and stenciling. Chipping around interior of rim. Two minor nicks to inner wax sealer rim. A minor nick to shoulder on reverse. H 5 3/8".
