Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, Stamped "B.B. CRAIG / VALE, N.C.," early fourth quarter 20th century, ovoid jug with hand-modeled and applied clay face including china teeth, the surface covered in a streaky olive-green alkaline glaze. Incised wavy line treatment to shoulder. Burlon Craig maker's mark on underside. As-made condition with some shallow in-the-firing base chips. H 7 1/2".
