Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Devil Face Jug with Rock Teeth, Signed "Lanier Meaders," Cleveland, GA, circa early 1970s, ovoid jug with depressed front featuring a hand-modeled and applied clay devil face including glazed kaolin eyes, pointed ears, pointed nose, and mouth with protruding lower lip and rock teeth, the surface covered in a dark-brown alkaline glaze. Loss to handle. Two other sections of handle reglued. Loss to one horn. Other horn reglued. Some firing cracks/fissures. H 8 3/4".
