Salt-Glazed Stoneware Presentation Pitcher with Incised Floral Decoration, Inscribed "W R Marsh / 1896," attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, 1896, highly-ovoid pitcher with footed base and narrow collar embellished with elaborate coggled banding, the midsection featuring the incised inscription, "W R Marsh / 1896," flanked by incised flowering stems. Cobalt highlights to incised inscription and decoration, coggling, and handle terminals. Heavy chipping to rim and spout. Minor staining to reverse. H 10 1/2".
