Three Glazed Redware Dirt Dishes, NC origin, 19th century, two with highly unusual crimped rims, covered on interior and exterior with clear lead glazes; together with an example with lead-glazed interior. Provenance: All recently discovered in Alamance County, NC. One crimped dish with three small flakes to interior, possibly a kiln furniture mark, along with light wear and some surface residue. Other crimped dish with minor wear to interior, a 1 3/4" line from rim, and some surface residue. Third dish with wear to interior and two rim chips. Dimensions (of largest): 11" x 2 1/4".
