Large-Sized Salt-Glazed Stoneware Canning Jar, Stamped "T.B," Timothy Boggs, Alamance County, NC, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with narrow, flaring collar, impressed at the shoulder with Timothy Boggs maker's mark below a two-gallon capacity mark. Goldish-colored glaze run to shoulder on reverse. Excellent condition. Traces of old red and green paint to collar. Minor chipping to rim. A small in-the-firing chip to bottom edge of jar. H 14 1/2".
