Two Stoneware Canning Jars, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO / PA," circa 1875, both of tapered form with tooled shoulder and "wax sealer" rims, one featuring Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling within a scrolled flourish. Smallest jar with rim chips, 3/4" hairline from rim, wear to cobalt, 2" base chip at right, and small hole in underside. Largest jar with small rim chips, surface wear, and thin y-shaped crack, which extends up most of left side of jar. H (of largest jar) 10".
