Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Bird Motif, Stenciled "T.F. REPPERT. / GREENSBORO.PA," circa 1880, tapering jar with rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring T.F. Reppert maker's stenciling surrounding a stenciled design of raised-wing bird, including small stenciled tulips above. Provenance: From a fifty-year West Virginia collection. Minor surface wear. Small chips to interior of rim. H 9 7/8".
