Alkaline-Glazed Double-Handled Stoneware Face Jug, attributed to Kim Ellington, Vale, NC, late 20th century, ovoid jug with flared spout and two applied strap handles at the shoulder, decorated with a hand-modeled and applied clay face featuring small ears, impressed kaolin eyes set within curved lids, nose with formed nostrils, and mouth with broken china teeth. Surface covered in a mottled olive alkaline glaze. Incised inscription at shoulder on reverse. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 11".
