Alkaline-Glazed Swirled Stoneware Face Jug, Stamped "B.B. CRAIG / VALE, N.C.," early fourth quarter 20th century, ovoid jug with flared spout, decorated with a hand-modeled and applied clay face with bulging white eyes including cobalt pupils, arched eyebrows, large ears, prominent nose with carved nostrils, and open mouth with broken china teeth. Blue and cream swirl pattern throughout with overlying transparent glaze. Underside impressed with B.B. Craig maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8".
