Glazed Redware Flowerpot, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, flaring pot with rounded rim and attached saucer, the lead-glazed surface decorated with heavy manganese sponging over a yellow clay ground. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark on underside. Very nice condition for this form. Some very minor surface-level glaze wear to shoulder of pot. A tight approximately 1 7/8" x 2 1/2" spider line to saucer, extending 1" onto underside. Typical calcium residue to interior rim of pot, base of pot, and rim of saucer. H 5 5/8" ; Diam. (at rim) 6 1/2".
