Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1840, a one-gallon ovoid pitcher with brushed horizontal floral and garland motifs, paired with a small cylindrical jar brush-decorated with three horizontal tulip motifs. Pitcher with restored handle, a restored base chip on reverse, a small rim chip, and staining throughout. Jar with staining and in-the-firing mottling to surface as well as a short in-the-firing on interior of rim, not visible on exterior. H (of pitcher) 10 1/8" ; H (of jar) 7".
