Glazed Redware Ale Mug, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA, circa 1840-1880, ovoid form with footed base, cylindrical collar, and spurred handle, the surface covered in a brown lead and manganese glaze. Interior with clear lead glaze over an orange ground. Recessed underside. Restoration to an apparent 1 1/4" x 2 3/8" loss to rim. Additional lesser restoration to rim. Some light surface wear. H 6".
