Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, Old Bridge, NJ origin, circa 1820, ovoid jug with footed base, tooled shoulder, and semi-rounded spout, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of a cluster-shaped flower blossom hanging from a stem with incised veins. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Base chips, some of which are glazed over. A few in-the-firing contact marks to surface. Some staining to surface. A minor in-the-making chip to spout.
