Scarce Glazed Redware Bowl with Two-Color Slip Decoration, Hagerstown, MD origin, first quarter 19th century, flaring form with footed base and distinctive triple-beaded rim, the cavetto decorated with slip-trailed bands of whitish slip overlain with arches of manganese slip, all under a clear lead glaze. Wear and old shallow chips to rim, which have smoothed with age. Light wear to interior. Diam. 9 1/4" ; H 2 3/8".
