Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "L. NORTON / BENNINGTON," VT origin, circa 1830, ovoid jug with tooled spout, brush-decorated with a flowering plant featuring an open blossom and undulating stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a slightly-recessed area to shoulder and a few small Albany slip drips to front. H 16".
