Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, American, second half 19th century, a two-gallon jug with stenciled rose and freehand stripe decoration, stenciled "R.T. WILLIAMS. / NEW GENEVA / PA," paired with a two-gallon jug with slip-trailed floral decoration, stamped "WM E. WARNER / WEST TROY," NY State origin. New Geneva jug with significant cracks to bottom third and underside, as well as flakes to underside and contact marks to shoulder area. West Troy jug with some fry to cobalt, a shallow in-the-firing chip to spout, and a shallow in-the-firing chip to handle. H (of New Geneva jug) 14 3/4".
