Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, a six-gallon crock with detailed chicken-pecking-corn motif, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT.;" paired with a six-gallon jug-form cooler with brushed grapes motif, stamped "TROY POTTERY," NY State origin. Norton crock broken into pieces and crudely reglued, with staining. Troy Pottery cooler missing handle, with some spider lines to bottom third of front, a pre-firing bunghole chip covered in cobalt slip, crazing to spout area, short lines to base, an in-the-firing iron ping to left side, and significant staining.
