Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to M.J. Porter, Luthersburg, PA, circa 1853, ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a distinctive brushed floral motif below a freehand "3." Impressed "3" on reverse. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 13 1/4".
