Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Jar, Stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON / & CO. / GREENSBORO / PA," circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stenciled shield surrounding James Hamilton maker's stenciling. A 2 3/4" spider crack from rim on front. A meandering spider crack extending across underside onto areas of the base. Some small in-the-firing contact marks to surface. H 8 1/2".
