Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "P. CROSS / HARTFORD," CT, circa 1806-1808, ovoid jug with tooled, semi-rounded spout, featuring cobalt highlights to the maker's mark and handle terminals. A long spider crack on left side of jug. A thin meandering spider crack on right side of jug. An in-the-firing spout chip. Small in-the-firing base chips. Thin lines to base area. Some typical in-the-firing flaws to surface. Some residue to handle. H 15".
