Glazed Redware Jar, Stamped "S. BELL & SON. / STRASBURG," VA origin, circa 1890, small-sized, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, the lead-glazed exterior coated in cream-colored slip and decorated with light streaks of manganese. Desirable size and exceptional condition. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor rim wear, and tiny glazed-over rim chip, and minor wear to underside. H 6".
