Glazed Redware Tankard Pitcher, Stamped "S. BELL & SON, / STRASBURG," VA origin, circa 1890, cylindrical form with footed base and short, flaring collar, the lead-glazed surface decorated with splashed manganese over bright-yellow slip. Excellent color. Chips and wear to rim. Some wear to spout and handle. A 6" crack from rim. Light surface wear to body. H 9 1/8".
