Scarce Multi-Glazed Redware Sugar Bowl, attributed to J. Eberly & Co. or S. Bell & Sons, Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, ovoid form with pronounced foot and arched lug handles, the lead-glazed surface decorated with cream-colored slip and heavy streaks of manganese and copper. Interior with lead glaze over cream-colored slip. Missing lid. Wear to rim, handles, and foot. A small chip to foot. Surface wear to body of sugar bowl. H 3 1/2" ; Diam. 3 3/8".
