Five-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, attributed to Somerset Potters' Works, Somerset, MA, circa 1847-1882, cylindrical jug with flared spout, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design featuring crossed leaves flanking a spiraling line accented with spots and graduated trails. Looping line and spot decoration to shoulder. Spout with two chips, two thin surface cracks, and a tiny U-shaped surface line. Some staining. H 19".
