Scarce Six-Quart Stoneware Crock with Stenciled Cobalt Horse Decoration, attributed to Somerset Potters Works, Somerset, MA, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with stenciled design of a standing horse. Brushed "6" above, denoting six quarts. Rim chips. An in-the-firing iron ping to left of horse. A few handle chips. H 8 3/4".
