Rare Rockingham-Glazed Fire Engine Pitcher, attributed to Abraham Cadmus, South Amboy, NJ, circa 1849-1854, molded pitcher with hound handle, featuring a relief design of firemen with fire engine around the body and a grape vine motif around the collar. Surface covered in a mottled reddish-brown glaze over a cream ground. Very nice condition. Some light surface wear. A 1 3/8" surface line to underside, not visible on interior. H 8 7/8".
