Scarce Miniature Glazed Redware Jug, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA, circa 1875, ovoid jug with tapered spout, the surface decorated with sponged manganese and covered in a heavy lead glaze. Underside impressed with partial John Bell maker's mark. The slightly-curved underside of the jug limited the efficacy of the stamp. Only part of the "J" in "JOHN" and the "LL" in "BELL" are visible. Excellent condition with two minor spout nicks. H 4 1/4".
