Fine and Scarce Copper-Glazed Redware Flowerpot, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1850-1880, flaring form with attached saucer and semi-rounded rim, the surface covered in a green lead-and-copper glaze. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark at shoulder. Provenance: From an eighty-plus year private collection. Very nice condition with a few small rim chips and some typical calcium residue to surface. H 4 1/4" ; Diam. (at rim) 4 3/8".
