Outstanding Redware Platter with Elaborate Latticework Slip Decoration, PA origin, early 19th century, rectangular form with rounded corners and coggled edge, lavishly-decorated with wide trails of crossing yellow slip under a clear lead glaze. Bold decoration in an unusual pattern. Provenance: Illustrated in Slesin, Rozensztroch, and Cliff, Kitchen Ceramics, pg. 61. Flakes and chips around rim. Some flakes to interior, mostly small. L 16" ; W 13 1/2".
