One-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Lincoln County, NC origin, mid 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with heavily-ribbed handle and tooled banding to spout, the surface covered in a mottled, olive-green alkaline glaze. A few spout chips and a minor 5/8" surface line descending from spout, not visible on interior. Minor surface wear. H 11 1/2".
