Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Baltimore, MD origin, second half 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jar with brushed swag-and-hanging-flower decoration on front and reverse, probably Peter Herrmann; paired with a four-gallon cylindrical jar with brushed clover plant on front and reverse. Smaller with a few rim chips, a small inverted U-shaped line to rim, two short hairlines from rim, hairlines to underside continuing onto base area. Larger jar with water glass staining to interior and exterior, as well as two hairlines to underside continuing onto base area. H (of smaller) 12".
