Six-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Churn, Southern origin, late 19th or early 20th century, large-sized, semi-ovoid form with flared collar, the shoulder fitted with vertical strap and horizontal lug handles, the surface covered in a streaky olive-green. Incised sine-wave decoration and "6" to shoulder. A tight spider crack descending from rim to shoulder. Otherwise excellent condition. H 19 3/4".
