Twelve-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "WILLIAMS & REPPERT. / GREENSBORO. PA," circa 1885, large-sized, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with freehand stripes and vining above and below Williams and Reppert maker's stenciling. Base with freehand "12" flanked by flourishes. A 4" loss to rim. A 4" diagonal crack from rim on side of jar. A large spider crack to bottom half of jar on reverse. A spider crack on underside. Staining. H 23".
