Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, ovoid pitcher with footed base and narrow collar with rounded rim, decorated around the body with a horizontal stem bearing graduated leaves and fan-shaped flowers. Wavy line decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Significant restoration around upper half of collar, including some of decoration. Restoration around foot of pitcher. Some light wear to surface and cobalt. H 14 1/2".
