Scarce Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Howe & Clark, Athens, NY, circa 1805-1813, bowl-shaped jar with footed base and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a slip-trailed daisy. Slip-trailed highlights to handle terminals. Water glass staining to interior. Rim chips, some of which are glazed over. A small piece of adhered clay to one side. A raised air pocket in clay on shoulder and interior base. Jar is out-of-round. H 9 3/8" ; W 11".
