Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITE'S UTICA," NY State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a fan-tailed bird atop a stylized branch. Cobalt accents to maker's mark and capacity mark. Essentially as-made condition with in-the-firing salt drips and contact marks as well as some wear to handle. H 14".
