Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "F. STETZENMEYER & / G. GOETZMAN / ROCHESTER, N.Y.," circa 1853-1860, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a daisy with spotted interior and heavily-striped details to the petals and leaves. Slip-trailed "3" below spout. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. An in-the-firing chip to underside at edge. A salt drip to reverse. Lines to spout/upper handle terminal. Handle was not broken and/or reglued. Some in-the-firing wear to base of decoration. H 16 1/2".
