Four Slip-Decorated Redware Plates, American, 19th century, all with coggled edges; two related plates with yellow slip decoration, Philadelphia, PA origin; a third plate with wavy manganese lines flanking a yellow slip line, PA origin; and a fourth plate with arched yellow slip lines flanking a group of darker wavy lines. Larger Philadelphia plate in excellent condition with very minor wear to interior and edge as well as a small in-the-firing contact mark to edge. Smaller Philadelphia plate with rim chips. Plate with arched yellow-slip lines with rim chips and residue to interior surface. Smallest with small rim chips and light wear to interior. Diam. (of largest) 9 3/4".
