One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Ralph J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with footed base, tooled collar, and semi-squared rim, decorated on the body with a brushed floral motif flanked by swags. Swag decoration to collar and dashes accenting the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Base of handle with a horizontal crack including minor chipping. A small chip to handle. Minor staining. H 11".
