Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N. CLARK & CO. / LYONS," NY State origin, circa 1840, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a large brushed design of a tulip accented with spots. Brushed "3" below spout. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. A 1" chip to top of spout. Some fry to cobalt. Staining to base and reverse. H 17".
