Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Pan with Mulberry Slip Floral Decoration, Stamped "H. GLAZIER. / HUNTINGDON, PA.," circa 1831-1854, flaring form with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a sweeping floral motif in reddish-purple slip. Additional slip highlights to handle terminals. Desirable slip color. Provenance: Estate of author and historian, Nancy Shedd, Petersburg, PA; purchased by Shedd from Gerald Patton Antiques, Duncansville, PA; ex-Swank estate. Broken and reglued with rim chips and a 3/4" triangular hole in underside. Wire around shoulder. An additional 4 3/4" hairline from rim. H 7 1/4" ; Diam 9".
