One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1840, rotund jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed stem bearing leaves and tassel-shaped flowers. Garland decoration below handles. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Two minor rim chips. Some fry to cobalt. H 9".
