Stoneware Spittoon with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "R.C.R / PHILA.," Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, cylindrical form with footed base, recessed opening in top, and carved oval opening at shoulder, decorated around the body with a swag-and-hanging-flower motif. Cobalt highlight around shoulder. A thin, 2" crack from opening in top and a 4" hairline from opening in top. H 4 5/8" ; Diam. 8".
