Three Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware Jars, Western PA and WV origin, circa 1875, a canning jar with "wax sealer" rim, decorated with the stenciled signature, "RICHEY & HAMILTON / PALATINE / W.VA.;" a second canning jar with "wax sealer" rim, decorated with a stenciled floral motif, Western PA origin; and a one-gallon jar with stenciled foliate motif, stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES. / GREENSBORO. / PA." Palatine jar with a 1 1/2" rim chip on reverse, smaller chips to interior of rim, and some light wear to cobalt. Floral-decorated jar with minor surface wear and a small in-the-firing ping to inner rim for lid. Hamilton & Jones jar with light surface wear and minor chipping to rim. H (of shortest) 8 1/2".
