1 Gal. Western PA Stoneware Cream Jar, possibly George Debolt, New Geneva or Fredericktown, PA, circa 1850, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, brush-decorated with a wavy stem bearing graduated swags and an open-centered tulip, underscored by a freehand stripe. Lightly-incised horizontal wavy line decoration to reverse. Underside with chips and a Y-shaped crack, forming a 6" vertical crack on reverse. Chips to interior of rim. Small areas of brownish residue to surface. H 8 3/4".
