One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Richmond, VA origin, circa 1820, cylindrical jar with footed base and semi-squared rim, the shoulder decorated with cobalt daubs girded by two bands of heavily-incised lines. Impressed with one-gallon capacity mark at midsection. A few base chips. A 1 3/4" rim chip. Other small chips and wear to rim. Wear to shoulder. H 9 5/8".
